Course Overview
The MSHA 8-Hour Refresher Training course is required annually for all miners and mining contractors who have completed the initial MSHA 24-Hour New Miner Training (Part 48, Subpart B). This refresher course ensures that miners remain current on safety standards, hazard recognition, and the best practices for working safely on MSHA-regulated surface mining operations.
The training satisfies the annual refresher training requirements set forth by MSHA under 30 CFR Part 48 and provides miners with critical knowledge on the most recent safety regulations, site-specific hazards, and new technology or procedures relevant to their work environment.
